Dr. Julie Carleton

Dr. Carleton is an Indianapolis native.  She holds a bachelor of science in pharmacy in 1994 from Purdue University. She worked four years as a pharmacist in various settings before enrolling in Palmer College of Chiropractic-Davenport, IA in July 1998. She graduated magna cum laude in October 2001 from Palmer. Before graduating she received awards, such as outstanding student extern award in the Outpatient Clinics at Palmer and the Presidential Scholar award. She also earned a place in the Pi Tau Delta, international honor fraternity. She interned with Dr. Jason Rannfeldt while at Palmer to round out her education.

Dr. Carleton’s decision to be a chiropractor first began with receiving chiropractic care for her sciatic symptoms resulting from a previous accident and failing the traditional medical model of care. She enjoyed pain relief and the overall improvement of her health. She liked the idea of being able to help others naturally. Her curiosity for being able to help the body heal itself led her to begin chiropractic school. She helps a wide variety of patients overcome their pain, everything from headaches to hip pain.

Dr. Carleton practices the Activator technique for its specificity to address your specific problem. Activator technique is currently the only chiropractic technique to receive NIH grants to conduct clinical based research. Dr. Carleton know helps to assist at Activator seminars. Dr. Carleton is currently enrolled in classes to obtain her Diplomate in Chiropractic Pediatrics to enhance her abilities to work with children.

In her spare time, Dr. Carleton enjoys watching her husband, Cory play in My Yellow Rickshaw.  She also loves to play with her 2 cats: Cheesepuff and Pino.

One of Dr. Carleton’s best attributes is her willingness to try to get to the root cause of the problem. She is happy to consult with you at anytime regarding your problem to see if chiropractic is right for you.
