Meet Dr. Julie Carleton

Dr. Julie didn’t start out planning a career in chiropractic. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Purdue University, but somewhere along the way realized pharmacy wasn’t going to give her the kind of hands-on, personal impact she wanted to have on people’s lives.

Then life gave her a push in a different direction. After being rear-ended in a car accident, she was left with chronic pain that traditional medicine couldn’t resolve. Chiropractic care finally gave her relief she needed. She discovered it is the career she’d been looking for all along.

Dr. Julie loves the small-town feel offered in the community, and enjoys the beautiful local parks whenever she has a chance.

Education and Training

She went on to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, where she was named a Presidential Scholar and graduated Cum Laude in 2001. Her background in both pharmacy and chiropractic gives her a perspective few providers have, one that respects the science while still focusing on the body’s own ability to function and heal.

Dr. Julie never stops learning.

  • Webster Technique certification through ICPA
  • Dry Needling through American Academy of Manipulative Therapy
  • 100 hour certification in Dynamic Body Balancing
  • 100 hours of postgraduate work toward her Diplomate in Pregnancy and Pediatrics
  • Yearly certified in Activator Methods® to maintain Advanced Proficiency Rating
  • Biennially renewal training to maintain an active Indiana Pharmacy license.

Outside the Practice

Being part of the community she serves matters to Dr. Julie. She’s a member of the Tri Kappa Fishers Iota Chapter and the Indiana State Chiropractic Association, and she stays involved through volunteer work with her community and church.

Dr. Julie likes to reset by listening to music. Her favorite local band is anything her husband Cory is playing in at the time. Her favorite international band is Duran Duran. She has loved them since she was 12 years old so now when she can she will travel across the country to see them.

Another favorite way to reset is to travel. She loves to find new places, especially waterfalls. She may have only fallen in once but there are still more waterfalls to see.

Dr. Julie also loves quality time with her husband, Cory which usually involves trying some new fun locally owned cuisine places.

Dr. Julie enjoys animals. She is currently listening to the opinions of her 3 cats.

Dr. Julie’s favorite way to refuel is a good Americano coffee!
